20 Bedford Way – M.I.M.A Finalists
We are not one for blowing our own trumpets here at 20 Bedford Way – ordinarily we let our fantastic event spaces and facilities speak for themselves. Yet recently we received some great news that we are just too excited about not to share.
20 Bedford Way has been nominated in two categories at the 2014 Meetings Industry Marketing Awards (M.I.M.A). MIMA was launched back in 2002 to shine a light on the marketeers working within the events industry. We are up for awards in the Best Website and Best Integrated Marketing Campaign categories. The competition is tough, with some international big hitters, but we are excited to see how we fare.
Since 20 Bedford Way’s £2.4 million upgrade, it has been our mission to get the word out about our bespoke Bloomsbury conferencing and events venue. We always knew how popular our conferences spaces would be as soon as people were aware of them and got to experience them first-hand. The buzz around 20 Bedford Way since the revamp has been electric as clients and delegates experience our unique state-of the-art facilities and the impact of Sir Denys Lasdun’s powerful brutalist building.
Our Head of Residence, Conference and Catering Michael Walker explains the importance of the brand: “We have developed the ‘20 Bedford Way’ brand and its accompanying website to reflect the strength and simplicity of the building and to attract the attention of external conference and event organisers to our excellent, professional facilities.”
As a new and exciting brand in the events world, we are delighted to have been recognised by the industry for the strength and creativity of our marketing campaign and website. It took months’ of hard work from our dedicated team to make a diverse range of new clients aware of our amazing event spaces and the service we provide. Headed up by Richard Bull, 20 Bedford Way’s Business Development & Events Manager, the team bought together Digirank, AdHoc, HudsonFuggle and FourPoints Management.
This year’s event is taking place on 20th October 2014 at the Lancaster London. We are really looking forward to it and fingers and toes are most definitely crossed.
