Punnett Hall - exhibition space for hire in London

Punnett Hall is a great flexible space, suited to exhibitions, lectures and boardroom meetings You can arrange the seating to suit the size and format of your event, with the support of our team available whenever you need it.

With a maximum capacity of 120 in a theatre, 90 in a cafe or 60 in a committee-style layout, it’s a great space for medium-sized meetings and lectures, as well as for conferences and exhibitions. Punnett Hall is located just off the Crush Hall and can be used as a breakout space for larger events in Logan Hall or Jeffery Hall.

Exhibition space for hire

You can book our venue for anything from presentations, exhibitions and committee meetings to small training sessions. The flexible layout means you can cater the room to almost any event, providing a safe and comfortable space for attendees while maximising the room for vendors. Our state-of-the-art facilities ensure that each stall will shine in the spotlight. And if you’re in need of refreshments, we offer sustainable catering services, creating fresh, flavoursome food suitable for a variety of requirements.

Situated on Level 1 of our main UCL IOE building, street access from Level 3 makes Punnett Hall easily accessible to all.

London lecture theatre

Punnett Hall can also be used as a lecture theatre, providing plenty of space and flexible seating layouts to ensure your audience makes the most of your event. Working closely with you, we’ll provide the perfect space for industry experts to share their expertise.

We’ll customise the layout of the room so every attendee in the audience has a clear sightline and feel engaged throughout. We have a range of tech facilities available to enhance your event, with our event team on hand to help you set up and create a studious environment for your lecture.

Breakout space

Punnet Hall is often used in conjunction with the adjacent Logan Hall and Jeffery Hall. Whether you’re planning a large-scale performance and need a space for your team to regroup, or need a breakout room for your conference, then we can turn Punnett Hall into the space you require.

Punnett Hall: a nod to our founding leader

20 Bedford Way and wider UCL have a rich history, and Punnett Hall helps celebrate this by honouring one of our founders.

Throughout our history, Margaret Punnett (1867–1946) was a force to be reckoned with. She was vice-principal for 31 years, undertook the bulk of lecturing and administration work, and took responsibility for the welfare of our female students, ensuring they received an excellent education.

Punnett helped take the Institute of Education (IOE) from strength to strength, contributing to our academic reputation. Naming our drama studio after Margaret helps cement her name in our history, and ensures that our London rehearsal space is a true reflection of her passion and dedication.
